The Tuscaloosa River Market was built in 2012 to be the home for the City of Tuscaloosa Farmers Market. It is located on the banks of the beautiful Black Warrior River and at the heart of the Tuscaloosa River Walk. The market is open year-round on Saturdays from 7 am – 12 pm. It features a wide variety of products including Sweet Grown Alabama seasonal produce, baked goods, artisan crafts, and USDA processed meats. Boasting over 60 vendors on the roster, you can always expect a wide variety of product availability.
Admission and onsite parking for the market is free and open to the public. Handicapped parking is available in the lot closest to the building. Shuttles are available in the summer to transport customers from their cars to the market. The Farmers Market is a dog friendly environment. While shopping bags are available, reusable bags are encouraged.
All forms of payment are accepted. Many vendors accept credit and debit cards. There is an ATM on site. SNAP/EBT, Double Up Food Bucks, Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program and other voucher programs are honored.
In 2022 & 2023, this market was recognized as #1 in Alabama by America’s Farmland Trust Farmers Market Celebration.
